Elder Tribunal Loot Policy updated for Cataclysm
Since Elder Tribunal switched predominantly to 10m raidse we /roll.
Here is how the system works in general:
When an item drops, the loot master will call for a roll. The player that rolls highest will win the item.
If a player wins an item, he is encouraged to pass on future rolls that week.
If no one takes the item, BOP items are disenchanted and the results go to the guild bank. Passed-on BOE items are given to the guild bank for disenchantment or sale.
Here are some more specific rules that apply to all raid instances:
A two priority tier will be used. Full Members (Grunts/Raiders) will have the opportunity to bid on primary role gear first. If all eligible members pass then it will be opened up to everyone else. We prefer people pass gear to people whom are bidding on primary role/spec gear. (Main-Offspec has the same priority as Alt-Mainspec, Alt-Offspec has the lowest priority.)
If a full member (Grunt/Raider) is asked to change spec (role) for the raid that member will be eligible to roll on gear as if their off-spec was their primary spec (role).
On items that can be used by more than one class, officers will determine which class or classes is most appropriate, taking raid role into consideration.
The officers have final say in all loot decisions, and reserve the right to determine how loot is awarded when circumstances demand.
If someone does not attend a raid within a month (and does not make arrangements with the officers in advance), they are demoted to Ally (Friends and Family).
BOP equipment including armor tokens and trophies follow the rules above.
BOP Recipes and crafting items are rolled for, but only by crafters that can use and has the skill to use them. If the recipe is very rare or important, officers reserve the right to determine how it's awarded.
All BOE items will be distributed at the end of the raid.
Purple BOE equipment follows the normal rules. If everyone passes on the item, it goes to the guild bank. The officers may opt to give players not present on that raid the option to buy the item for their main role (spec) if it is an upgrade for them. In that case, the person pays the guild bank 5k or half AH price which ever is lower. People wishing to buy items for alts or offspecs are expected to pay the guild bank fair AH price minus 10%.
BOE greens and blues will be given away or given to the guild bank, unless it's an upgrade for someone, then it will be randomed among those present who need. That person needs to let the raid leaders know that it is an upgrade. If a green or blue item is an upgrade it is your responsibility to let the officers know.
BOE Recipes and crafting items are rolled for, but only by crafters that can use them. That crafter MUST scribe the recipe. If the recipe is very rare or important, officers reserve the right to determine how it's awarded.
All tradeskill items go to the guild bank. This includes Orbs, Gems, leather, etc.
